ReggieCon was created to celebrate human lives as living stories. It directly engages differences while paying homage to similarities. It serves as a model to our much-divided culture of just how complex, nuanced, and full of contradiction our lived lives truly are. It also shows us how to to ask someone “what’s your story?” without experiencing difference as threatening.
Those differences are our species’ ultimate superpower. If we can learn to use that power against villains like poverty and racism, instead of against each other, there’s no telling what kind of story we can learn to write together. Story by story, conversation by conversation, ReggieCon works to keep the vibrant world of stories alive, engaging, and absolutely full of difference. Thanks for joining in this celebration of stories.
