Illinois State University’s Department of Politics and Government held the 30th Annual Conference for Students of Political Science on Friday, May 19, 2023. The conference featured eight panels and a keynote speech and included 22 participants from various universities across the United States and abroad.
The papers presented at the conference covered diverse topics, such as international politics, United States foreign policy, human rights, comparative public policy, political theory, democratization in the Arab world and South Asia, war and terrorism, politics of education, and American politics.
Dr. Monica Marks from New York University, Abu Dhabi delivered the keynote speech, titled Tunisia’s Tragedy: Democracy Made and Unmade in the Arab World. The conference program is available on the conference website.
