The Illinois State University Planetarium will offer the full-dome show Sunstruck!, running May 31 through July 28. Showtimes are 2 p.m. Wednesdays and 7:30 p.m. Fridays. There are no shows on June 21 and 23.
Travel back in time to experience the birth of our Sun, Earth, and solar system. Discover how the Sun came to support life on our planet, how it threatens life as we know it, and how its energy will one day fade away. Experience our unique star, the Sun, in Sunstruck!
Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $5 for adults; $4 for children ages 5-12, seniors, and ISU ID holders; and $3 for children ages 3-4. Cash or checks only. Tickets may be purchased next to the Planetarium beginning 20 minutes before each show. Seating is limited.
The ISU Planetarium is located under the white-domed roof at the eastern end of Felmley Hall of Science Annex. Felmley Hall is located on the northeast corner of the ISU campus at the intersection of College Avenue and School Street.
Inexpensive parking for the 2 p.m. Wednesday matinees is available in the ISU visitor lot, located on Locust Street. Free parking for the 7:30 p.m. Friday programs is available a short distance from the ISU Planetarium in University parking lot F-67, located on the east side of School Street.
