If you are a small- to medium-sized business or nonprofit organization in the Bloomington-Normal community, mark your calendars. The Bloomington-Normal Innovation Alliance (BNIA) is hosting the 2023 Central Illinois Cybersecurity Summit on Thursday, June 22, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Illinois State University Alumni Center.

Cyberattacks have taken down businesses, hospitals, nonprofits, and higher education institutions. In addition to enormous financial loss, they leave reputations in tatters. The 2023 Central Illinois Cybersecurity Summit is an opportunity to connect with cybersecurity professionals and learn how to protect your business from cyber threats. This year’s theme is Beyond IT: Cybersecurity, A Business Risk.

At the summit, you’ll be able to:

  • Engage with experts and peers
  • Discuss ways to mitigate risks and create a more secure environment
  • Learn about the latest threats and effective strategies for preventing cyberattacks
  • Explore opportunities for post-Summit information sharing and support

BNIA’s mission is to empower the Bloomington-Normal region to embrace innovation, bolstering local economies with smart development and policies rooted in connectivity, mobility, equity, and sustainability.

BNIA members include the Town of Normal, City of Bloomington, McLean County, McLean County Regional Planning Board, Central Illinois Regional Broadband Network (CIRBN), McLean County Chamber of Commerce, Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council, McLean County Unit School District 5, Bloomington Public Schools District 87, Illinois Wesleyan University, Heartland Community College, and Illinois State University.
