Claire Lieberman, ART, was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome during the summer of 2023. The American Academy in Rome supports innovative artists, writers, and scholars living and working together in a dynamic international community.
Hao Wang, MQM, was awarded second place for the 2023 Sales Special Interest Group Doctoral Dissertation Award of the American Marketing Association for the dissertation “Essays on Upper Echelons Research in Sales Management.”

Winfred Avogo, SOC, presented “Community Characteristics and Adolescent Reproductive Health Transitions in West Africa” in Session 161 “Adolescent Fertility in Sub-Saharan Africa” at the Population Association of America (PAA) Annual Meeting in New Orleans.

Avimanyu Datta, MQM, co-authored “Seiko Epson Corporation” in the Hitotsubashi Business Review.
Somnath Lahiri, MGT, co-authored the article, “Is offshoring dead? A multidisciplinary review and future directions” that was published in the Journal of International Management.
Ali Riaz, POL, has published a commentary in the SouthAsiaSource on recently announced U.S. visa policy about Bangladesh and its implications for Bangladeshi politics. South Asia Source is published by the Washington D.C.-based think tank Atlantic Council. Riaz also published a commentary on the role of India in Bangladeshi politics and its possible role in the upcoming election in January 2024, in the SouthAsiaSource. The commentary also examines the relationship between the United States and India.
Jason Whitesel, SOC & WGSS, published “Big-Gay Men Entering the Twenty-First Century: Global Perspectives on Fat-Affirming Subcultures and Imagery” in The Contemporary Reader of Gender and Fat Studies. Whitesel also was quoted in an Everyday Health article, “Body Dysmorphia Continues to Be a Serious Issue Among Gay Men” and was interviewed for Advocate Today on The Advocate Channel, in a segment “Body Dysmorphia Stigmas and Solutions.”
Abhishek Varma, FIL, was featured in a WalletHub piece about bodily injury liability Insurance.
