Alumni Association directors chosen

There is new leadership within the Alumni Association following the annual meeting in June. 

Four alumni were elected to three-year terms on the board of directors. Danielle Alexander ’17, of Chicago, is a program coordinator for academic diversity, equity, and inclusion at Columbia College. Danielle Brink ’06, of Lisle, is director of community relations for DuPage High School District 88. John Davenport, Ph.D. ’15, of Columbus, Ohio, is dean of students for Ohio State University Newark/Central Ohio Technical College. Jay Groves ’80, M.S. ’83, of Bloomington, is retired chief of staff for Illinois State University. 

Tim Griffin ’93 is president. Susan Nelson-Brown ’78 is vice president/president-elect. Julia Durnell ’19, M.S. ’22, is secretary, Karyn L. Aguirre ’86 is treasurer, and Leah Walton ’88, M.S. ’92, serves as past president.
