Dr. Robert Bradley, professor emeritus from the Department of Politics and Government, was recently appointed by the Circuit Court to be a Jury Commissioner for McLean County. He will serve a three year term. The primary duty of a jury commissioner is to provide the jurors necessary to serve the needs of the Circuit Court, the state’s attorney, and the coroner of McLean County in a manner strictly outlined by Illinois laws.
Bradley was also reappointed to the Adlai Stevenson Memorial Speaker Series Board. The Board was created to honor and promote the legacy of Stevenson, a former Illinois Governor, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, and two-time presidential candidate. The Board selects renown speakers, such as former Nobel Prize winners and foreign dignitaries, to make public presentations at Illinois State and Illinois Wesleyan Universities.
Bradley currently serves on the Board of the ISU Senior Professionals as well as being a frequent presenter for its programs. Senior Professionals provides life-long learning opportunities for retired professionals in the community. Bradley also served as a honorary co-chair for Mboka Mwilambwe’s recent mayoral campaign in Bloomington.
