After a hiatus due to the pandemic and the renovation of the Illinois State University Bowling and Billiards Center (BBC), the faculty-staff bowling league is getting back together. The faculty-staff bowling league, formed in 1999, is a great way to meet colleagues and have a little fun.
The bowling season runs approximately 30 weeks, starting Wednesday, August 30, through April 24, 2024. The group meets weekly on Wednesdays with bowling starting at 4:45 p.m. at the BBC. Each league week, the group plays three games. The league does not meet during fall break, winter break, or spring break, and individuals may decide to join throughout the year.
The cost is $10 per bowler per week. This does not include shoe or locker rental, but the BBC does provide bowling balls. Regular players are expected to pay for all weeks regardless of if they can attend or not. Substitutes are also welcome. Please contact Tony Brook, ahbrook@IllinoisState.edu for further details and to sign up.
The Illinois State faculty-staff bowling league is open to all faculty and staff of the University, as well as their spouses, partners, and significant others. Illinois State retirees are also welcome to join the bowling league.
