COUNTRY Financial continues to open doors for Illinois State University students. In September, beneficiaries of COUNTRY Financial’s support gathered with company leaders. The annual event provides a platform for students to learn about COUNTRY Financial’s career opportunities and share the impact the company has made on their lives.

COUNTRY Financial’s dedication to Illinois State students is evident through years of support for the University. Since 2021, COUNTRY has provided scholarships to more than 200 students. Additionally, more than 250 students have engaged in programming supported by COUNTRY, including Business Week, recruitment fairs, and guest lectures.

“Our students’ financial needs are very real,” said Interim President Aondover Tarhule during the event. “So, when I say that COUNTRY Financial’s support matters for our students, it truly matters.”

Following the interim president’s remarks, students were given the opportunity to partake in round table discussions with COUNTRY Financial leaders. These discussions gave students the chance to ask questions regarding COUNTRY’s professional environment, while also allowing COUNTRY Financial leaders to connect with and get to know the students they have impacted.

After the roundtable discussions, student panelists Mohammed Mrani, a finance and mathematics major, and Pladi Tuzuemo, a business information systems major, spoke to the importance of COUNTRY’s generosity.

“The scholarship I received from COUNTRY Financial significantly reduced my college expenses, enabling me to concentrate more on my studies,” said Tuzuemo.
