Drag Royalty, a newly founded Registered Student Organization (RSO) at Illinois State University, will host its second annual Family-Friendly Holiday Drag Show at 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in the Circus Room of the Bone Student Center.
Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased on the Drag Royalty website.
Drag Royalty is a nonprofit student-led organization dedicated to keeping the fabulous art of drag performance alive by honoring their history both as queer people and as drag artists, by taking pride in who they are and what they share with our ISU community, and by committing to the continuous improvement of their art form with each and every performance.
This year’s holiday drag show comes with a bit of a twist. Similar to last year, it will feature performances from some of our newer drag performers, but the show will also serve as Episode 4 of Reggie’s Drag Race: Drag Royalty’s new drag competition where performers compete to become ISU’s next drag superstar. Hosted by the RSO’s president, Rebellion, the cast of Reggie’s Drag Race includes Azula Lynn, Crystal Skylar, Damien Trouble, Iona Sparkx, Jackie Hammer, Lincoln Logge, Lola Zahor, Niki Da Queen, and Portia Lynn Snaps.
The show also features special guest performers/judges Nutella Fitzgerald and Illinois State University alumnus Rita Tarot. Additional performers include Scarlett DeVille, Izzy Fierce, Angel, Anne Giggles, and Frostbyte.
