The Illinois State University Department of Politics and Government held a panel on “The Israel-Palestine Conflict: The History and the Trajectory” on November 7. The panel was moderated by Illinois State student Allison Henrichsmeyer, with expert Illinois State University panelists Dr. Ali Riaz, a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Politics and Government; Dr. Reecia Orzeck, an associate professor of Geography; and Dr. Camille Cole, an assistant professor of History.
The experts reviewed the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict, discussed the geography of the region and its changes, and discussed plausible resolutions that might end the conflict. The event was well-attended, and students and other attendees also participated by offering comments and questions.
