Dr. R. David Edmunds, M.A. ’66, LL.D. ’02, joins Redbird Buzz to discuss his newest book, Voices in the Drum: Narratives from the Native American Past and his work as a Native American scholar and advocate. Edmunds was featured in the November 2023 issue of the STATE alumni magazine.

Edmunds has written 10 books and more than 100 scholarly articles, he has contributed to docuseries for PBS and the History Channel, and he has spent 50 years teaching Native American history at several universities across the country.
