The Illinois State University School of Music is excited to announce the second half of the fall semester ensemble concerts.

Ensemble concerts through December include:

Percussion Ensemble
Sunday, November 5 at 7 p.m. 
Students in the ISU Percussion Studio bring rhythmic energy and diverse timbres to the stage. 
This free recital will be held in Kemp Recital Hall. 

Jazz Ensemble I and II
Friday, November 10 at 8 p.m. 
Featuring music of the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra. 

Music For All
Saturday, November 11 at 10 a.m. 
Family and sensory friendly concert
Instrument “petting zoo” begins at 9 a.m. in the Concert Hall lobby.
This concert is free to all. 

Civic Chorale
Sunday, November 12 at 3 p.m. 
Civic Chorale and guests present Handel’s Messiah.

Opera and Stage Performance Workshop Convocation
Tuesday, November 14 at 11 a.m.
Students perform solos, duos, and scenes from Carmen, The Magic Flute, and more! 

Wind Symphony
Wednesday, November 15 at 8 p.m.  
Featuring Dr. Anne McNamara, trumpet soloist, and guest composer Omar Thomas. 

African Drumming and Dance Ensemble
Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m. 
Students present a showcase of rhythms and dance movement from West Africa. 
This free recital will be held in Kemp Recital Hall. 

Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band
Thursday, November 30 at 8 p.m. 
Featuring Caribana and Shenandoah by Omar Thomas. 

Music for the Holidays
Saturday, December 2 at 3 p.m.
Featuring the Symphony Orchestra, String Project, and Civic Chorale

Saturday, December 2 at 7 p.m.
Featuring the Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Combo I

Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m.
Featuring Concert Choir, Belle Voix, Treble Choir, and University Glee

Tickets for Music for the Holidays concerts are $15 general admission, $10 student/seniors

University Band
Wednesday, December 6 at 8 p.m. 
Illinois State University’s largest concert band performs movie hits and more! 

All performances are held in the Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall on the Illinois State University campus unless indicated otherwise. 
Tickets for all concerts are $10 general admission, $8 faculty/staff, $6 student/seniors with the exception of Music for the Holidays (ticket prices listed above) and those events that indicate that they are free. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Center for the Performing Arts box office, by phone at (309) 438-2535, or online.
