On December 20, the Office of the Provost notified Dr. Michael Hendricks, assistant professor in the Department of Politics and Government, that he had received Illinois State University’s Research Initiative Award and Service Initiative Award.
The Research Initiative Award recognizes assistant professors who have initiated a promising research agenda early in their academic careers. The Service Initiative Award honors and acknowledges assistant professors who have demonstrated excellence in service to Illinois State University.
In 2022, Hendricks received the Teaching Initiative Award, which is for assistant professors who have shown considerable promise in teaching early in their academic careers.
