The School of Social Work proudly participated in Illinois State University’s 2023 Homecoming Parade. Our faculty, staff, and students showed our Redbird spirit along with thousands of other participants. To add to the enthusiasm, Nathan Stephens, Sally Parry, and Gardenia Harris dressed as social work pioneers Dr. George Edmund Haynes, Jane Addams, and Ada S. McKinley.

Second place in “Most ISU Spirited”

Thanks to the hard work of Laura Roehm and Curtis Preston, the School of Social Work earned a second place badge of honor in the Homecoming decoration contest’s “most ISU spirited” category. From promoting our legacy of leadership to the creation of a historically accurate timeline that wrapped around the building, this was nothing short of a phenomenally decorated department!
