Illinois State University faculty and staff working with equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts on campus are invited to the EDI Leaders Circle Symposium from 9 a.m.-3:20 p.m. on March 20 in the Bone Student Center. This year’s theme is “From Vision to Action: Strategic Planning for Inclusive Excellence.”

A full schedule and registration are available here. Registration is due by Tuesday, March 12.

“This symposium is designed to help EDI leaders influence their own units on issues of equity, inclusion, and diversity as we prepare the Excellence by Design: 2024-2029 strategic plan.” said Interim Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer Byron Craig.

The keynote speaker will be Associate Director for Professional Development and Staff Recognition and the owner of Necessary Change Consulting LLC, Angell Howard. Howard will lead two sessions: “Developing a Practice of Equity-Mindedness” and “Putting it into Practice: Equity-Minded Decision Making & Goal Setting”.
