Brittney Vietti, director of Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Politics and Government has been recognized as the 2023-2024 recipient of the Extraordinary Experiential Learning Coordinator award. Vietti received the award on behalf of the Career Services department at Illinois State University for her role as the department’s internship coordinator.
Awards are given based on student testimonies provided to Career Services. One student wrote the following about Vietti: “As a returning adult learner, she has made completing my degree a much smoother experience by helping me choose my classes and endlessly going over requirements and credit hours with me. She has also connected me with campus resources I needed so much.”
Political science majors are required to complete an internship for credit as part of their major requirement. In addition to assisting students with internship opportunities, Vietti also teaches the POL 398A01–Professional Practice: Public Service Internship course.
