Normal Editions of Illinois State University is pleased to present a selection of recently published limited-edition lithographs in Booth #275 at EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art April 11-14 at Navy Pier.

Normal Editions will present a dynamic exhibition of lithographic prints by a range of established and emerging contemporary artists from across the nation. A prominent feature of this display is a suite of four brand-new prints completed by artist, educator, and curator Avantika Bawa inspired by her ongoing investigation of brutalist architecture around the world. Another highlight is a vivid new print by prominent Saint Louis-based artist Carmon Colangelo entitled Evoking Ernst, which merges traditional stone lithographic techniques with digitally derived photo lithographic imagery in a dramatic and colorful composition.  all hearts beneath the sun (Let War’s Tempests Cease) is an engaging piece by prominent Chicago artist Bethany Collins, one of three of her lithographs recently published by Normal Editions.  Also featured are prints by noted New York painters Lorraine Shemesh and Judy Glantzman, along with works by artists Ian Weaver, Jason Walker, Matthew Day Perez, Brittney Denham Wisonant, and a suite of five images by Illinois State University faculty members Tyler Lotz, Brian Franklin, Melissa Oresky, Archana Shekara, and Michael Wille.

A nonprofit print research facility, Normal Editions was founded in 1976 with a mission to publish limited-edition fine art prints in a professional print research setting, provide unique educational opportunities, and expand appreciation of print media. Professional artists visit Normal Editions to collaborate with a master printer and team of staff, faculty, and students to produce limited edition fine art prints. Normal Editions is located within the Wonsook Kim School of Art at Illinois State University and, to date, has collaborated with over 150 artists to produce more than 300 artworks.
