Illinois State University’s spring commencement will be held in five ceremonies with two on Friday, May 10, and three on Saturday, May 11, in CEFCU Arena. Each of these ceremonies will include the student processional, speeches from University officials, and students receiving their diploma cover as they cross the commencement stage when their name is read.
Friday, May 10, 2024 at CEFCU Arena
- 4 p.m.: Mennonite College of Nursing and College of Arts and Sciences Social Sciences including students in the majors of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Economics, Politics and Government, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology and Anthropology
- 8 p.m.: College of Arts and Sciences Natural Sciences/Mathematics and Humanities including students in the majors of Biological Sciences; Communication; Chemistry; English; Geography, Geology, and the Environment; History; Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; Mathematics; Philosophy; Physics; and Interdisciplinary Studies
Saturday, May 11, 2024 at CEFCU Arena
- 9 a.m.: College of Education and Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts
- 1:30 p.m.: College of Applied Science and Technology
- 6 p.m.: College of Business
Illinois State will award approximately 3,499 baccalaureate degrees and 722 graduate degrees. There are more than 3,600 students (undergraduate and graduate) scheduled to participate in the spring ceremonies.
Family, friends, and supporters unable to attend spring commencement in person will be able to watch the commencement ceremonies live on their computer or mobile device.
