Dr. T.Y. Wang, University Professor Emeritus, was invited as a committee member to conduct a program review of the Institute of Political Science of Academia Sinica (IPSAS).
Founded in 1928, Academia Sinica is Taiwan’s top academic institution. With a strategic goal that is “theory-oriented with area-based study in comparative politics and international relations,” the IPSAS has earned a reputation of being one of the world’s leading research organizations in political science.
Over the course of two days, the Review Committee assesses the Institute’s strategic plan, evaluates its members’ scholarly productivity, examines the Institute’s facilities, compares the IPSAS with aspirational programs, and provides suggestions for further improvement. The final report will be submitted to the President’s Office of Academia Sinica.
