Join Lara Schwartz, of PEN America and founding director of the American University Project on Civil Discourse, and Dr. Katy Strzepek, Ph.D. ’18, director of the Center for Civic Engagement, for an interactive online workshop designed to introduce faculty, staff, and administrators to the legal framework of the First Amendment, principles of free speech and academic freedom, and unprotected speech such as harassment or threats.
- Date: online synchronous session, Friday, August 30
- Time: noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Registration: Register by Thursday, August 29.
