Dr. T.Y. Wang, Illinois State University professor emeritus, was invited to offer a workshop on “Categorical Data Analysis” at the 2024 Institute for Social Science Methodology (ISSM). The ISSM is organized by the Institute of Political Science of the Academia Sinica in Taiwan, the country’s most prestigious research institution of political science discipline, and cosponsored by the Society for Political Methodology in the U.S.
In addition to offering basic course courses, the summer institute also offers advanced courses based on several rotating themes, including Categorical Data Analysis, Longitudinal Data Analysis, Micro-macro Linkage Analysis, and Data Sciences. The instructors are mainly scholars from Taiwan, the U.S., China, Japan, and Korea.
More than 40 advanced graduate students and junior faculty members of various disciplines participated in the three-week program in 2024, and they were selected by a committee based on their qualifications.
