Tuesday, November 12, 7-8:30 p.m.
Illinois State University, Degarmo Hall 551
AsiaConnect invites students and the campus community to a presentation featuring Mr. Kevin Jeong, the inaugural Asian American employment plan coordinator for the state of Illinois. His presentation will focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and state government career opportunities for Asian/Asian American students.
Jeong is an accomplished communicator and storyteller with an established body of work that includes speechwriting, advocacy, and education. As a Chicago native and career creative, he has had the great privilege of sharing his work as a voice for diversity, advocacy, and volunteerism—both locally and globally.
Join the conversation as we learn about career opportunities with the state of Illinois for Asian/Asian Americans and how diversity, equity, and representation are changing the actual face of government.
The presentation is open to interested students and the campus community. Light refreshments will be served.
AsiaConnect welcomes all Asian/Asian American groups, including the heritages of South Asians, Southeast Asians, East Asians, Central Asians, Pacific Islanders, and others, both on campus and in the community. Our goal is to foster an inclusive space where diverse Asian cultures and those who celebrate them can connect and grow together.
