Illinois State University’s winter commencement will be held in two ceremonies on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in CEFCU Arena. Each of these ceremonies will include the student processional, speeches from University officials, and students receiving their diploma cover as they cross the commencement stage when their name is read.
- 9 a.m.: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, Mennonite College of Nursing, and Interdisciplinary Studies
- 1 p.m.: College of Applied Science and Technology, College of Business, and Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts
Illinois State will award approximately 1,300 baccalaureate and graduate degrees, with nearly 1,000 students scheduled to participate in the winter ceremonies.
- There are 9 graduates who have earned two degrees simultaneously.
- From Veterans of all branches to current members of the National Guard and Reserve, Illinois State is proud to have 40 military-connected graduates.
- And, more than 290 undergraduates are graduating with honors, meaning they have achieved a GPA of 3.65 or higher.
Family, friends, and supporters unable to attend winter commencement in person will still be able to watch the morning and afternoon ceremonies live on their computer or mobile device.
