Gordon Duguid, Illinois State University’s new Donald F. McHenry Visiting Professor in Diplomacy and International Relations, has published two articles, one in the local Pantagraph and one in the Peoria Journal Star.
Both articles highlight the effects of State Department layoffs and the importance of U.S. Civil and Foreign Service officers. Duguid is a member of the Public Diplomacy Council of America. He held multiple posts including those in Africa, Europe, South Asia, and Washington, D.C, while with the State Department.
Duguid retired with the rank of minister counselor in 2020.
