Leadership Certification Program kicks off with Provost Yazedjian
Human Resources Leadership Program that runs annually during the academic year through April of 2026 kicked off the year with a conversation on leading through change led and facilitated by our Provost, Ani Yazedjian. Sessions that support the certificate program will often have spare seats for interested faculty and staff who want to “sample” content throughout this semester and next. Please be sure to visit our training calendar available from the HR website to read about the sessions for this program and others and register as appropriate. Sessions designed specifically for the Leadership Certificate Program will give first preference to that cohort, and all sessions that are available should be discussed with your own leadership prior to registering.
Merit based salary increase implementation details
During his comments to the Board of Trustees on July 25, President Tarhule announced a 3.5 percent merit-based salary increase for continuous faculty and staff with non-negotiated appointments, effective October 1, 2025. We anticipate that increases for salaried semi-monthly-paid qualifying employees will be reflected in their mid-October 2025 pay advice and that increases for all other qualifying employees will be reflected in their October 2025 month-end pay advice. Pay increases for employees in bargaining units certified by either the Illinois Education Labor Relations Board (IELRB) or the Illinois Labor Relations Board (ILRB) as of July 25, 2025, are determined through the collective bargaining process and the terms of the applicable contract.
