The Organization of Information is a major textbook used by library schools across the country to provide library and information science professionals with a foundation in the principles of library cataloging, archival description, metadata for digital collections, and museum registration.

The fully revised fifth edition contains updated content on recent developments in cataloging standards, linked data, and the Semantic Web, and serves as a key resource for anyone seeking guidance on the complex challenges of today’s information organization environment.

Milner Library Dean Dr. Carrie Forbes praised Baldoni’s efforts: “So many students and faculty use library services, so we are proud of our ability to help them find needed information. The process of organizing that information is essential to anyone collecting research information in a systematic way.”
