Illinois State University’s Department of Politics and Government will host a panel discussion focusing on executive power during the Trump presidency.
“The Trump Presidency and Executive Power: From the Immigration Ban to the Arpaio Pardon” will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 12 in Schroeder Hall, room 244, on the Illinois State campus. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.
The panelists will include Department of Politics and Government professors Lane Crothers, Meghan Leonard, and Tom McClure. Crothers will share some historical perspectives on the topic of executive power, while Leonard and McClure will respectively discuss the political and legal implications of the use of executive power by the Trump Administration. The panel will be moderated by Professor of Politics and Government Carl Palmer.
