On October 27, students gathered to learn about the law school application process. The Lawfair, organized by Politics and Government Professor Meghan Leonard, presented students with panel presentations informing them about getting into law school, being in law school, and practicing law. Three Illinois State University alumni who are currently in law school spoke to students about what to expect when attending law school.
Students met with law school representatives from the DePaul College of Law, Northern Illinois Law School, Iowa College of Law, Marquette Law School, John Marshall Law School, Chicago-Kent College of Law, the Mauer School of Law at Indiana, and the McKinney School of Law Indiana University. The day capped off with a discussion involving Attorney Advisory Board members Peter Orlowicz, Don Knapp, Marc Loro, and James Knecht. The board members discussed their own experiences practicing law.
