The Illinois State University Planetarium’s annual holiday show, ‘Tis the Season, will be shown on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 2 p.m., Dec. 3 through 11.

‘Tis the Season recounts Christian, Jewish, Egyptian, Roman, Celtic, Nordic, and Hopi historical, religious, and cultural rituals practiced during the time of the winter solstice. The program also examines some of the more light-hearted seasonal traditions, from gift-giving and kissing under the mistletoe to songs about lords a-leaping and ladies dancing.

Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12, and $2 for children ages 3-4. Planetarium members are admitted free of charge. The Planetarium is located under the white domed roof at the intersection of School St. and College Ave. in Normal.
