The University community is invited to a retirement celebration parade for Athletics Director Larry Lyons on November 13.
Participants can drive by the Hancock Stadium Concourse from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Participants are asked to enter the parking lot at the stoplight at the intersection of Main and Willow streets. Those taking part are required to stay in their vehicles and wear masks.
Lyons has served the Illinois State Athletics department for 30 years, including as the director of Athletics since May 2013. He is credited with the development of the renovation projects done on Hancock Stadium. Lyons has also served as a campus representative on the ISU Foundation Board of Directors for three terms.
