Finalists for the director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (OEOA) at Illinois State University will be on campus August 8, 9, and 10.
Tuesday, August 8: Mboka Mwilambwe
Mwilambwe is the current interim director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access. He has experience in the areas managed by OEOA including Title IX, Title VII, and ADA through his work in OEOA at Illinois State University since November of 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Education, both from Illinois State University.
Wednesday, August 9: Mary Zabroski
Zabroski is currently a senior solutions specialist with Great River Solutions where she works with institutions of higher education to develop policies and actions related to Title IX, Title VII, and the Clery Act. Prior to joining Great River, Zabroski served as the districtwide director for equity compliance for the St. Louis Community College System and as the student involvement and leadership coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Regis College (Weston, MA) and a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law (Boston, MA).
Thursday, August 10: Daniel Kast
Kast is currently the assistant director of investigations for the U.S. Center for SafeSport in Denver, Colorado. Prior to joining SafeSport, Kast was the director of civil rights and investigations for the Colorado Community College System in Denver. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science, both from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
The candidates will spend their day meeting with the search committee and various constituencies across campus who have direct interaction with OEOA. It is the committee’s hope to fill this important campus position within the next few weeks.
