Finalists have been announced for the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts Dean position at Illinois State University. Open forums for the candidates will begin on January 29. The campus community is invited to attend the forums.
Dr. Joanna Hersey

Dr. Joanna Hersey is currently the associate dean of Student Success and Curriculum in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She received a Bachelor of Arts in gender and sexuality studies at the University of Connecticut, a Master of Music in tuba performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in tuba performance at the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.
Dr. Mark Rabideau

Time: Tuesday, January 30, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Dr. Mark Rabideau is currently the associate dean for Faculty and Student Affairs in the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver. He received a Bachelor of Music in music performance and literature at the University of Illinois, Urbana, a Master of Arts in music performance and literature at the University of Notre Dame, and a Doctor of Music Arts in music performance and literature at the University of Illinois, Urbana.
Gustavo Plascencia
Place: Prairie Room II, Bone Student Center
Time: Wednesday, January 31, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Gustavo Plascencia is currently the dean of Visual Arts at the New World School of the Arts in Miami. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fine arts/photography at the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Fine Arts in photography and media arts at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Dr. Scott Irelan
Place: Prairie Room II, Bone Student Center
Time: Thursday, February 8, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Dr. Scott Irelan is currently associate dean in the College of Fine Arts at Western Michigan University, also serving as interim director of the Irving S. Gilmore School of Music. He received a Bachelor of Arts in communication at Bowling Green State University, a Master of Arts in theatre arts at Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in theatre and performance studies at Southern Illinois University.
