Ken Koroll, the chairman of the National Stuttering Association’s (NSA) board of directors, will discuss the impact of support groups and acceptance for people who stutter at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, in Stevenson Hall, room 101.
The talk, sponsored by the Illinois State chapter of the NSA and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, is free and open to the public.
Koroll is a person who stutters and has been a member of the NSA since 2000. He founded the Chicago West NSA Chapter and has been a part of the Chicago/Woodale, and St. Louis chapters. He has presented multiple NSA conference workshops, including speaking on the inaugural NSA All-Star panel. Sought out by media such as the New York Times, Koroll has written and spoken about stuttering on a national level. He is best known for living and promoting an overt, stuttering lifestyle.
