Discover how teachers at Illinois State will challenge students with new ideas and new ways of learning at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology’s (CTLT) Summer Showcase. The event, which will be held August 5 at the Alumni Center, is open to the entire campus community. It’s a great chance for instructors to find inspiration for their own courses.
Work by more than 50 faculty members will be featured in short presentations or through posters, highlighting the changes they will implement in their upcoming courses. All participated in course design and redesign workshops this summer at CTLT, striving to incorporate the latest research and proven best practices into their teaching. The following cohorts will be represented this year in the showcase:
- (Re)Create Your Gen Ed Course
- Reinvent Your Course for Civic Engagements
- DART Online
- Design Your Course
- Reinvent Your Course for Diversity
- Going Global with Your Course
Presentations begin at 9 a.m. and continue all day. Posters will be displayed in two sessions, one morning and one afternoon. Colleagues are invited to stop in and stay for as long as they can.
See a complete schedule of participants, including the courses they have designed or redesigned, at CTLT’s website.
