About Musallam

Ramsey Musallam

Ramsey Musallam

A life-threatening condition and the inspiring words of the open-heart surgeon who saved his life jolted Musallam out of what he tabs “psuedo-teaching” following 10 years in the field. He soon set out on a path to renew his pedagogical creativity and dedication to students.

Today, the dynamic educator’s mission is “to meaningfully integrate multimedia into a hands-on, inquiry-based learning cycle” and to empower fellow educators to employ strategies that similarly foster student learning. Musallam is a highly sought-after presenter and is the author of Cycles of Learning, where his tutorials help teachers turn everyday apps like Google Docs, screencasting from an iOS device, YouTube, KeepVid and word clouds into effective tools in the classroom. His TED Talk “3 Rules to Spark Learning” puts teeth to the importance of sparking curiosity in the classroom.

Musallam received an M.A. in education and an Ed.D. in teaching and learning from the University of San Francisco. He is a Google Certified Teacher, a YouTube Star Teacher, and a Leading Edge Certified Teacher. Read his full bio.
