Andy Rummel, assistant professor of tuba in Illinois State University’s School of Music, will present a free recital at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, in the University’s Kemp Recital Hall. The performance is part of the School of Music’s Charles W. Bolen Faculty Recital Series.
Rummel will be accompanied by pianist Nancy Pounds on works for tuba and piano by Georg Philipp Telemann, Barbara York, Roland Szentpali, and Stephen Sondheim. The recital program will also include works for tuba and prerecorded electronic accompaniment by composers Andy Scott and Brian Sadler.
