Professor Emeritus of History John Freed will discuss “Christmas in Cuba” at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the University Club in the Faculty/Staff Commons of the Bone Student Center.
Cuba had been through many conflicts when the Obama administration relieved limitations on travel by Americans to this Caribbean island and the Castro regime legalized more free enterprise. “Christmas in Cuba” will be Professor Freed’s interpretation of a people-to-people tour of Cuba during Christmas week in 2016.
All faculty, staff, annuitants, and guests are welcome to attend in a very informal and relaxed atmosphere from 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Additional information about University Club events and activities can be found on the website. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the President.
If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
