Illinois State University Forensics Union and American Democracy Project to host Civic Engagement and Leadership Camp
This summer the Illinois State University Forensics Union and the American Democracy Project are joining forces to host a Civic Engagement and Leadership Camp for high school students from June 17–22. The aim of the camp is to educate and inspire students to engage with their community. The camp will include four areas of interest:
Holocaust remembrance included survivor talk and reading of names
Aaron Elster survived the Holocaust. He brought his memories and writings to a talk with the Illinois State University community earlier this month in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day. A public reading of the names of those who died in the Holocaust also took place. Elster presented Child Survivor of the Holocaust. Born in 1933
