Fire Displaces Students Just Before Finals Week

A May 5 afternoon fire only days before the start of finals week created havoc for students living in Dillon Stables, a 30-unit apartment building at 102 W. Phoenix in Normal. Though some students were home at the time, none were injured in the blaze that grew quickly and caused major damage throughout the building.

Alumni Letters Help Illinois State Recruitment Efforts

Nearly 400 prospective students will receive personal letters from some dedicated alumni encouraging them to consider attending Illinois State. Members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors are using this personal touch with high school seniors with high ACT scores who have been accepted to ISU but have not yet committed to attending.
