Unless you are a student who is getting a prescription filled or work in the Student Services Building, you might not have met Patrick Moraleda, although he has been working in Student Health Services as a pharmacist for more than 10 years. His photo also appears in the Bloomington-Normal Public Transportation System bus shelters.

International education opportunities abound at Illinois State University

Illinois State University boasts nearly 50 summer or semester-long study abroad programs that are open to students across different majors. Faculty exchange programs are also available between Illinois State and universities in Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Peru, Turkey and Thailand. Those study abroad programs and faculty exchanges, coordinated by the Office of International Studies and Programs (OISP), are an integral part of the University’s long-standing commitment to international education.

Gardenia Harris’ research highlights outcome disparities in social services

Even though African Americans receive social services in higher proportions than Caucasians, their service outcomes can actually be worse. School of Social Work Associate Professor Gardenia Harris’ research is dedicated to documenting this phenomenon and investigating its causes, specifically the decisions along the way that contribute to disparate outcomes.

Pride to have Quad display on National Day of Silence

Illinois State University’s Pride organization will have a display on the Quad Friday, April 15, on National Day of Silence, a day when hundreds of thousands of students nationwide take a vow of silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools.
