New audiology professor joins the CSD department

Nicholas Stanley, from the University of South Alabama, will be joining the CSD faculty in August of 2018. His areas of research interest include auditory event-related potentials with a focus in speech-in-noise performance, cognitive hearing science with roles in attention, working memory, and executive function play in successful communication.

Meet CSD alumna Sara Neumann

Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders alumna Sara Neumann, Au.D. ’12, specializes in pediatric audiology and cochlear implants for children and adults, and is the audiology clinic coordinator, audiologist, and a Deaf Education Consultant at Hearts for Hearing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

CSD study abroad program

Grades for the independent study are based on more than just travel. Students are expected to attend regularly scheduled meetings to plan for travel, conduct research on an aspect of the travel experience to share with fellow travelers, set personal goals for travel, and write a reflection after travel to discuss what they learned.
