llinois State fans hoping to enjoy the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico, with the Redbird men’s basketball team, can register for an all-inclusive package through Suzi Davis Travel, as the Redbirds take part in the 2015 Cancun Challenge with Maryland, Rhode Island and TCU in late November.
Gilberto Rosas will be the next speaker in the 2014 Latin American & Latino Studies Spring Lecture Series. His talk, Cholos, Chúntaros, and the Criminal Abandonments of the New Frontier, will be at 3 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Williams Hall, room 313. It is free and open to the public.
Each semester, eight of Illinois State’s senior education majors pack up their belongings and head south for student teaching. They drive through the rolling hills of Missouri, past the Oklahoma plains, and into the Lone Star State. This 1,000-mile journey leads them to San Antonio, the setting of their last preservice teaching experience.
