Illinois State University’s College of Business (COB) hosted its Early Career Achievement Awards ceremony during Homecoming 2022. Early Career Achievement Awards (ECAA) recognize younger graduates who have demonstrated innovative and responsible professional leadership, the potential for future distinction, and a commitment to serving others. One honoree is selected from each degree program.

Wearing a green sequined suit, platform shoes, and rounded white-rimmed glasses, 25-year-old Elton John electrified Horton Field House’s capacity crowd with a two-and-a-half-hour spectacle of theatrical musicianship 50 years ago.

We are excited to offer Reggie’s Homecoming Substance-Free Tailgate, which will take place Saturday, October 15, from 11:30 am–1:30 pm at Tri-Towers (outside next to the sand volleyball courts).  

Newton ’10 pays forward donors’ investment

Neil Styczynski had considered funding a college scholarship someday. But meeting then 17-year-old Dr. Kate (Norcross) Newton ’10 made him think, “If not now, when?” Styczynski and his wife, Joan, decided to establish the Neil and Joan Styczynski Scholarship at Illinois State for transfer students who want to teach and demonstrate a financial need. Newton was the scholarship’s second recipient.
