On Wednesday, April 10, at 4:30 p.m., Dr. Juana Goergen, M.A ‘86, will deliver a bilingual reading of her poetry on the second floor of Milner Library as part of National Library Week and National Poetry Month. A book signing will follow her presentation.

Laughter, romance, and political intrigue await you this summer at the nationally renowned Illinois Shakespeare Festival (ISF) with three artistic offerings including two Shakespeare plays—a sophisticated comedy and a bloody tragedy—as well as a world premiere of a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. Performances run from June 26 through August 3.
Foxtail Film Festival to welcome Danielle Beverly, independent filmmaker of Qatar Stars
Danielle Beverly spent four years behind a camera in Qatar. Surrounded by young girls in a rhythmic gymnastics school in Doha, Beverly captured on film not just their growth, determination, and athletic prowess, but the evolving gendered world around them. She will join the 2024 Foxtail Film Festival.
