Peer mentorship program promotes calculus student success

When students struggle with difficult subject matter, they risk becoming discouraged and giving up. The College of Arts and Sciences is working to minimize this pattern in general education courses such as introductory calculus, a class required by many majors on campus.

The Administrative/Professional (A/P) Council at Illinois State University continues to offer scholarships to accomplished students whose parents are current A/P staff members or retirees for use as financial assistance to attend Illinois State University.

The philanthropic relationship between State Farm and Illinois State University continues to provide resources for students, ensuring they succeed in the classroom and in their future professional careers. On May 2, Illinois State students who receive support from State Farm joined company leaders and recruiters at a networking event at State Farm’s corporate headquarters.

On May 4, Illinois State hosted its second annual Gratitude Gala to honor donors from several of Illinois State University’s giving societies. At the Gala, the University presented four awards to recognize donors’ outstanding philanthropic achievements.
