Dr. Jacob B. Chacko, M.S. ’14, has made student affairs the focus of his professional life. Washington University in St. Louis thought so much of his work that he was named the inaugural director of Dialogue Across Difference.
A capacity group of more than 25 students, faculty, and staff participated in a “How to Make Wontons” demonstration and workshop Wednesday evening in the Tuner Hall food laboratory for Illinois State University’s Asian Heritage Week.

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, an 18-year-old Indiana University student was stabbed multiple times in a horrific anti-Asian hate crime. Our thoughts go out to the victim of this horrible crime, to her family and friends, and to those who are affected by the racial violence. We ask you to stand with your Asian friends, classmates, colleagues, neighbors, and community members in condemning this act of hate.
