Smart grid education gets $450,000 boost
Illinois State University received a $450,000 grant to train K-12 teachers through the University’s Smart Grid for Schools program, which offers schools an opportunity to learn about the smart grid technology being rolled out by investor-owned utilities throughout Illinois.

Capen Auditorium renovation project to begin September 1
A $1.27 million renovation of Illinois State University’s Capen Auditorium will begin September 1. The 740-seat auditorium, built in 1909, is the largest lecture space on campus.
New grant program established for Study Abroad programs
The Office of International Studies and Programs has established a grant program to support the creation of new Study Abroad programs for the summer 2016 semester. Four grants of up to $5,000 each will be awarded.
