Honorary degrees may be awarded by Illinois State University in recognition of persons who have achieved a record of major distinction at the state or national level in education, public service, literature, business, fine arts, or other professions.

For those who don’t have that opportunity, several projects allow readers to experience other countries and life from a variety of perspectives without the need to leave their home or office.
