The Chicago Teacher Education Pipeline (CTEP) was awarded a $10 million grant last fall to expand its model in urban, high-need communities in Chicago, including Pilsen and East Garfield Park, as well as in other major cities in Illinois, including Decatur and Peoria.
Dakota Pawlicki would later graduate from Illinois State debt-free thanks to scholarships. Today he’s an educator. “ISU felt so much like home to me because it was like the community that got me there,” he says.
This spring three College of Education faculty members in the Department of Special Education were recognized at the University and national levels for excellence in teaching and research.
